Christmas Stress

We have a new challenge starting today at Fab’n Funky, which I am hosting, and I’ve chosen the theme – Make Someone Smile.  So we would love to see your amusing cards – for Christmas or any time of the year.

Our wonderful sponsor is Bugaboo stamps – with a prize of 7 digis for the lucky winner.

Bugaboo have loads of fun images and I made my card using JJ Coffee to Go – available here.

I coloured the image with Promarkers, a Flexmarker and Copics, and cut around it with a scalloped oval die.  I distressed around the image with a blue ink pad, although this isn’t showing in the photo.  The paper is from Polkadoodles Festive Christmas, with the edges distressed.  The lower sentiment comes with the digi, but I typed it out so I could use the same font for the sentiment at the top.  The snowflake is a Joy crafts die, the tree is by Marianne Designs and the stars are from the waste of the Star Border by Joanna Sheen.

Do take a look at the Fab’n Funky blog – where you will see all the details of this challenge, as well as some fantastic inspiration from the Design Team.

Christmas Pudding Jasper

I’m beginning to panic – I should be getting my cards for the UK posted very soon and I haven’t finished them yet.  Some will have letters going with them – hopefully – and I haven’t written any of those yet…!!!

Still more tags to make for the grandchildren – but I have made this one for one of my grandsons, who is 10 – and I think he will find it amusing.  The image is Christmas Pudding Jasper from DSB and I printed it off twice so I could make the pudding is bigger than on the original image.  I coloured it with Promarkers and fussy cut around the images.  The snowflakes are die cut from a Joy Craft die and the stars border is from Joanna Sheen.  I added chunky white frantage to the backing paper, which is from Polkadoodles Festive Christmas.

Winnie Bearing Gifts tag

Last year at this time we went to the UK to see our new baby granddaughter, so I had to rush thru my tags for our grandchildren.  They had to be quite simple to get them done before we left France, but this year I thought I’d try and put more detail into them.

On this one, for one of our granddaughters who is 9,  I’ve used Winnie Bearing Gifts and the Bubbleicious Frame – both from Polkadoodles.  I coloured Winnie with Promarkers and Copics, added some tiny gems to her crown and fussy cut around her.  I cut away the inside of the frame and glittered it with Glamour Dust.  The stars, poinsettia and ferns are also die cut and glittered.  The sentiment is from LOTV and the ribbon and gems are from my stash.

Winnie – North Pole

I do love Winnie from Polkadoodles – and here she is on another Christmas card – this time I’ve used Winnie – North Pole.   I cut around this image with my new Bubblicious die from Polkadoodles, and coloured her with Promarkers and Copics.  I glittered the edges of the die cut, added Stickles Star Dust to the tassels on Winnie’s hat and edged the snow with Sprinkled Sugar.  The papers are from Polkadoodles Festive Christmas – with their edges distressed – and the fir branch die cuts are from Leanne Creatif.  The ribbon and gems are from my stash.

Igloo Fun

It’s Wednesday again and we have another challenge starting at Fab’n Funky today.  Sharon has chosen the theme – Things with Wings – and our sponsor for this challenge is Doodle Pantry.

Doodle Pantry very generously gave the Design Team their choice of images to play with but I decided to use one of their images I was lucky enough to win a while ago.

This is my card using Igloo Fun available here.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and glittered the edges of the ice blocks with Stickles Crystal.  I edged the circle around the image with Frantage and added Stickles Frosted Lace to the foreground.  I love blue and white Christmas cards as they have a crisp frosty feel, and this paper – from Polkadoodles Festive Christmas – has different shades of blue and an ice crystal pattern on it.  The sentiment is from DSB – mounted on a pale piece from the paper and the stars are cut from a darker piece and glittered.  The snowflake die cuts, from Joy Crafts, are glittered with Stickles Frosted Lace and Glamour Dust, and the ribbon and gems are from my stash.  The tiny pom pom trim is from the Ribbon Girl.

Do take a look a the Fab’n Funky challenge blog where you will see all the fantastic inspiration from my team mates.
