Little Mermaid

I’m posting this card which my granddaughter, Sienna, made when she stayed with us for her May midterm holiday.  She made 5 cards that week – so I think it’s true to say she’s addicted to card making…!!!  Sienna loves swimming and we did quite a bit of that too, and as she has a fascination for mermaids I bought this digi for her to use.  I’d made a Z fold card just before she came and that design appealed to her.  She coloured the image with Copics, stamped and glittered the seaweed and put faces on the stars, as we didn’t have any starfish dies.  The anchor and shells came from my stash.

When I saw the children’s challenge at A Gem of a Challenge I knew Sienna would like to enter it.                                                                                                                                                                 https://pinkgemchallengeblog.blogspot.fr/2017/07/a-gem-of-challenge-childrens-special.html

Little Christmas Deer

It’s still wet and at times it seems more like Autumn than summer – but since I can’t work in the garden I’ve made another Christmas card.

I love this cute Christmas Deer from All Dressed Up, and I coloured it with Copics and Promarkers.  I cut the bottom off the blue DP, embossed it with a stars embossing folder and sprayed that piece with Spray and Sparkle.  I distressed all the papers’ edges and embossed the edge of the deer oval with gold embossing powder.  The sentiment tags are from LOTV, and the stars are the waste from the Starry Night Edger Signature die – all embossed with gold.  The ribbon and pearls are from my stash.

Pass the Parcel

It’s been so wet and miserable this past week, so I’ve managed to make another Christmas card, and this time I’ve used one of Di’s Digi stamps – Pass the Parcel Mice.  I coloured it with Promarkers and Copics and cut around the image with a Holly Ring die from Yvonne Creations, the edge of which I sprayed with Spray and Sparkle.  The edges of the papers are distressed and the die cuts are glittered with Imagination Crafts Detail Sparkle.  The ribbon is from my stash and the sentiment tags are from LOTV.

Gifts on the Tree

In January I decided I would make 3 Christmas cards each month, to avoid a last minute rush this Christmas.  Well you know what they say about the “best laid plans…”  and until now I only had 8 cards in my Christmas pile – this one makes 9…. so I’ve a long way to go.

I used a digi image – Gifts on the Tree – from LOTV, coloured it with Promarkers and Copics, and added liquid pearls and Glamour Dust.  I sprayed Spray and Sparkle onto the blue paper and distressed the edges of the DPs and the image square.  The die cut snowflakes are from Toga (I think) and the Snowflake Corner is from Memory Box – all glittered with Glamour Dust.

Grown with Love

I haven’t made a card for about 5 weeks now, as we’ve been on holiday in our caravan in the south of France.  We went for 3 weeks initially – but the weather was so good and we met up with several of our old friends – so we stayed a bit longer.  We first went to that camp site 28 years ago so it’s like our second home.  I’m now wading thru the washing – not helped by the iffy weather we’re having here in the centre of France.

This is one of several cards I now need to make in a hurry.  I used Grown with Love, from Di’s Digi stamps, coloured it with Promarkers and Copics, and cut around the image with a stitched square die.  I distressed the edges of the papers, from Polkadoodles, and cut a stitched square frame.  The butterflies are First Edition dies, distressed with inks, and the trails are Liquid Pearls.  The sentiment is from LOTV, the flowers are from the Ribbon Girl and the lace and pearls are from my stash.
