Octavia Moonfly Wistful

It’s the start of a new challenge over at My Time to Craft and Mags has chosen the theme – Embossing – Wet or Dry.   It’s such a nice easy theme and we hope you will all join in.

I used Octavia Moonfly Wistful from Polkadoodles – I coloured her with Promarkers and Copics and glittered her wings and hair ornament with Stickles Star Dust.  The edge of the oval has chunky White Frantage added.  The paper is from my stash and the upper part has been embossed with a Toga embossing folder – it’s French one from my local craft shop.  The sentiment, from LOTV, is embossed with clear embossing powder, the ribbon is from my stash and the pearls are from Ribbon Girl.

Winnie Wishes

I made this card for a blogging friend, using another of my Winnie images from Polkadoodles.  This one is called Winnie Wishes – I coloured her with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Copics and added some Stickles Star Dust to her hair ornaments.  The papers are from NItwits Baby Girl Firsts Collection, which has so many gorgeous pink papers.  The flowers, lace and pearls are from the Ribbon Girl and the sentiments – from LOTV – are embossed.  I cut 2 Butterfly Flourish die cuts from Joanna Sheen’s Signature range and added a second butterfly – distressed and glittered – to each butterfly on the base level to give a 3D effect.

Penguin Snowman

I can’t believe Friday has come around again – the weeks seem to be running into one another.  But since it is Friday it’s the start of another challenge at Winter Wonderland.  The dual themes this week are Show Us Your Gold/Silver or An Embossed Background.  Please remember it’s Christmas projects only.

We have 3 fabulous sponsors for this challenge

Crafts and Me with a £8 voucher for one lucky winner

A Day for Daisies with a $12 voucher for their store

Crafters Companion with a £10 voucher to spend in their store

I made this card using an image from A Day For Daisies – Penguin Snowman – available here.

Penguin Snowman

I coloured the image with Promarkers and added liquid pearls as drops of snow.  I cut around the image with a circle die and embossed the edge with silver embossing powder.  The papers are from my stash and I embossed a piece of white card with a snowflake embossing folder.  The sentiment is from LOTV – embossed with silver embossing powder – and the die cuts are snowflakes from Joy Crafts, a poinsettia from All Occasions Dies and fir branches from my stash – all glittered with Glamour Dust.
