A Poem for Halloween

Earlier this year one of our granddaughters said it was boring when I just wrote Happy Birthday inside her cards  – so could I please make it more interesting…..  I wrote a poem inside her Easter card and now thought I would make her Halloween card featuring a poem.  I really enjoyed making it up, and adding images to fit the words.  I used Distress inks for the background and printed the words on the computer using Chiller font.  The spiders webs and bats are Lavinia stamps, and the frog, cat and witches are fussy cut items from Clip Art.  I’m looking forward to hearing my granddaughter’s reaction to this – hope she likes it..!!

I would like to enter my project into these challenges –

  1. Aww that is so good!! I love that she’s getting you to use even more of your creativity to write poems too! This could easily be framed and put out every Halloween! I don’t really bother with Halloween cards anymore now I’m not blogging but this has really made me want to make one!

  2. Your card is awesome. Your granddaughters really push you on your requirements, lol. My son does that to me because he used to color with me with Copics so he believes that he can demand all his cards to be hand colored no pre- colored images for him. Also each year he expects a new design. So those kids force us to go outside our comfort zone.

  3. A fantastic Halloween card! I love this. A lovely poem and a great design with the silhouettes. Thanks for joining our challenge at Cute card Thursday. Marlies

  4. Gorgeous background for those fun silhouette stamps, love the poem. Thank you for joining SheepSki Designs Autumn and/or Halloween -challenge, hope to see you soon again.
