Blue and white ski jump

blue and white ski jump

Blue and white say winter sports to me – so ski jump from LOTV seemed a good addition to these colours.  I coloured the skier with promarkers, in various shades of blue, and cut him out on his own – so no dog and mountains.  I glued him onto a piece of card which I embossed with trees – not easy to see on the photograph – and stuck this onto a Spellbinders Fleur de Lys die.  The post card is from the LOTV Christmas icons set and the small sentiment tag is also by LOTV.   The backing paper is a Raspberry Road design and the gems are from my stash, coloured with a promarker.   I frantaged the Marianne die trees and added glamour dust to the Joy Craft snowflakes.

Tip -Some items on craft web sites are only available in the UK so I searched here in France for wax paper, to enable me to cut out intricate dies more easily.  I was unable to find any such product so now I save the wax paper which is inside cereal packets.  Once wiped over with damp kitchen paper  it is a fantastic aid to cutting those difficult dies – and it costs nothing.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges –

  1. So many shades of blue here that it is strange to think it is all one colour .It makes me think of a card being sent from a skiing holiday .I also like the two trees ,one is almost like a shadow .Good luck with your challenges .
