Braid in My Hair

The current Fussy and Fancy Shabby Chic Bingo challenge really took my fancy and I decided to go for a Full House.  This is my take on the challenge – I went for Fussy and Fancy with a vintage style ADFD image – Braid in My Hair – and coloured it with Promarkers and Copics.  This is the first time I’ve used that image, so it is something new to me, and the sentiment is from the new LOTV trios stamps – also new to me.  The papers, in delicate colours, are from Nitwits and I edged them with Tattered Rose Distress Ink and then distressed the edges with scissors to make a card in a square shape.  I used a Design Objectives embossing folder at the bottom of a paper, so that the hearts were showing around the side of the image.  I added lace – from the Ribbon Girl – and a bow, along with a tiny heart charm and the embossed sentiment beside the flowers from Ribbon Girl and Live and Love Crafts.  The flowers are  my “old” on the bingo board.   The die cuts are a Heart Ribbon Corner from La La Land and 2 butterflies – my pair – from First Editions Butterfly dies, which I dabbed with pink and grey ink and glittered with Stickles Star Dust.  My own choices were the heart charm, the sentiment and some frantage – and I also added 4 pearls at the top and 4 pearls at the bottom of the image.

I hope I’ve covered everything – I really enjoyed planning and making this card.
