As we’re coming up to Halloween our lovely leader, Judith, has chosen the theme of Celebrate Halloween for this week’s challenge at Fab’n Funky.
Our fabulous sponsor is Lemon Shortbread with a prize of 3 images for the lucky winner.
Lemon Shortbread gave the Design Team images to play with and I used Dracula Party, available here.
I thought this would be a good choice for my oldest grandson, who will be 13 on Halloween. I cut an oval from the base card and placed a greyish blue paper behind it. I coloured the image with Promarkers and fussy cut around it. The “castle wall” is bright blue paper, distressed with brown and green inks, and the bricks are marked out with a grey Promarker. The buildings are from clip art – fussy cut and distressed with grey ink – and the moon is cut with a circle die. The ivy is die cut with a Signature Die from Joanna Sheen and distressed with green and brown DI. Distressing certainly took over this time as the edges of the moon are distressed with a brighter yellow ink. The ribbon is from my stash, the bats are confetti and the sentiment is computer generated using Chiller font.
I would like to enter my card into these challenges –
