We have had such a lovely sunny day, and when I came in this evening the temperature was 28 degrees. We bbqed -for the second time this year – and then sat on the patio enjoying the sunshine. I guess this is why we came to live in France, although there are plenty of times I wish I was back in the UK.
This is a birthday card for my oldest friend – we started school together when we were 4 – and still keep in touch very regularly. We are both card makers and take a great interest in each other’s cards. I have used a Tiddly Inks image – Fairy Sunny Day – I coloured it in lilacs and pink, and teamed it with papers in the same tones. The ribbon I used is quite pale, so I gathered it to give a deeper colour. I wanted the image to stand out on its own, so I only added a couple of butterflies and several die cut flowers.
