We have seen how bad the weather is in the UK at the moment – it must be awful to be expecting to stay with your family and friends over Christmas – and then at the last minute find it’s not going to happen. I feel so sorry for all those people and just hope everyone will stay safe.
I have one more post before Santa – or la Pere Noel, as he is called in France – arrives. It is a candle with a matching gift bag, and I made it as a gift for French friend.
Fortunately I found a candle which didn’t have a film on it and it “took” the image really well. I used LOTV’s James and the snowman again for this candle, but this time I coloured James in brown and the scarves in blue. I used Stickles frosted lace for the fur effect on James’ hat and tied a blue bow around the candle.
The box shape was made from thin cardboard covered with Raspberry Road paper. I used the same image – made smaller on my computer, coloured it with promarkers to tone with the paper – and stuck It onto the front of the box, along with a couple of small punched snowflakes, glittered with glamour dust. I added a larger snowflake, cut with a Marianne die, at the top of the box and tied it with ribbon from my stash.
I would like to enter my project into the following challenges –

As You Like It Challenge – Favourite Stamp and Why – I love this cute image as I’ve always been fond of teddies. It can be used for both children and adults. It is easy to colour so it is good to use on a candle – I have now done one candle in red and one in blue. http://asyoulikeitchallenge.blogspot.fr/2013/12/challenge-17-favourite-christmas-stamp.html
