Little Denim Bag

We have a new challenge starting today at My Time to Craft – it’s hosted by Pat who has chosen – Anything but a Card.

I love crafts of all sorts, but, as I trained as a Home Economics teacher many years ago, I guess I have a bias towards sewing – when I’m not making cards….!!

This is a denim bag I made for one of our granddaughters.  i made one for myself and when my daughter saw it she said – I know someone who would love one of those.  She gave me a old pair of her little girl’s jeans and an old summer dress, and I used bits of the dress as the lining for the bag.  My granddaughter loved it so much she took it to school for “Show and Tell”, and told her class that her Nana had made it.

  1. What a brilliant idea, Alison! I love the idea of using an old dress of your granddaughter’s to line the bag. I bet she will treasure this for many years!

  2. What a great idea Alison, no wonder your granddaughter was so pleased with it, it looks fabulous. Getting cooler here this weekend though we have still had some sunshine but I really don’t like it when the nights are drawing in, I love the long days. Have a good week.

  3. Fabulous idea hun….wish I had thought about something like this when our two were little. It would have made an awesome keepsake!

Thank you for sharing with us at inspiration Destination this week, good luck in the draw!
