Octavia Dragonfly

It’s Wednesday again – so there is a new challenge starting at Fab’n Funky today.  I’m the host for this challenge and I’ve chosen the theme – Fantasy.  So we would like to see magical creatures – for example – fairies, mermaids, dragons, witches, gnomes, unicorns etc – on your project.

Our lovely sponsor is Crafty Ribbons who are giving the lucky winner a voucher to spend in their store.

I made this card for the 9th birthday of one of our granddaughters.  The digi image is Octavia Dragonfly from Polkadoodles, which I coloured with Copics.  The background was made by applying glycerine to a pink card and then sponging it with Distress Ink in Salty Ocean and Spun Sugar.   The tree is a die cut from Polkadoodles – coloured with Iced Spruce Distress Ink and blue glitter.  The sentiment is from LOTV – embossed with silver – and the punched dragonflies are also embossed with silver embossing powder.  The lace is from the Ribbon Girl and the ribbon and charm are from my stash.Octavia Dragonfly

You can see all the fantastic inspiration from my team mates on the Fab’n Funky blog  and we hope you will join in our challenge.

I would like to enter my card into these challenges –

  1. I love Octavia and you have done a great job with her. I love your background paper too. I have never tried that technique using distress inks so I must give it a go!
