A Little Gift

Does anyone else have problems using Google Chrome?  I’ve had several issues with it recently, but the other day I tried to look at the Ribbon Girl web site and couldn’t get the pages to stay still while I was trying to move them on.  After a couple of days, with the same problem,  I tried using Microsoft Edge and managed to put my order in successfully.  I don’t know why it didn’t occur to me it might be Chrome that was at fault – but I thought I’d mention this in case anyone else is experiencing the same thing.

Christmas is getting closer and my pile of Christmas cards isn’t getting much bigger – so I’m relieved to have made another one.  I used a LOTV digi stamp – A Little Gift – and coloured it with Promarkers.  I edged the circle with silver embossing powder, added liquid pearls for the drops of snow and put Stickles Crystal on the snowflakes around the image.  The snowflake is a Toga die cut and the trees were cut with a La Cabina die.  The trees, snowflake die cut and the hats are glittered with Glamour Dust and the “snow” on the ground is Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Jewels.

Winnie Witch

Today I’m sharing another Halloween card and this one is for another of our granddaughters.  I love Winnie from Polkadoodles, so I just had to get Winnie Witch from the Winnie Wednesday Collection.  I coloured the image with Promarkers and Copics, fussy cut around it, placed her on a background the same as the moon and the outer paper and cut around it again. The moon, outer paper and the background for Winnie were sprayed with Spray and Sparkle.  The die cut trees from Polkadoodles, and the web from Joanna Sheen were cut in black card and glittered with Stickles Crystal.  The sentiment is computer generated with Chiller font, the bats are confetti and the ribbon is from my stash.

Ski Jump – 2017

This is one of the first stamps I bought from LOTV – looking back thru my pictures I see I used it several times in 2012, but it’s been lying in the drawer ever since.  So when the LOTV Facebook challenge for this month was to use one of your first stamps, I thought it was time to ink it again.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and Copics, added Dream Weaver paste and some glitter for the snow, and liquid pearls for the drops of snow.  The die cuts are from Toga, Marianne Design and Joanna Sheen – all glittered with Stickles Frosted Lace.  The sentiment tags are from LOTV and the tinsel tie is from my stash.

All Dressed Up for a Magical Day

I thought our youngest granddaughter would like this pretty little witch on her Halloween card.  The image is All Dressed Up for a Magical Day – from ADU stamps –  coloured with Promarkers and Copics, and the wings glittered with Stickles Star Dust.  I separated the image from the sentiment – which is part of the digi – and fussy cut around them both.  The background was coloured with inks – Evergreen Bough DI and 2 Versa colors – Atlantic and Heliotrope.  The trees were die cut with a Polkadoodles die and the stars are the waste from Joanna Sheen’s Starry Border.  The moon and the stars were glittered with Spray and Sparkle and the bats are confetti – attached with patafix – and so easily removed (by Mum or Dad) in case they are in danger of being swallowed by a 2 year old.  The ribbon is from my stash.  Although I often put flowers on a card  I felt that this time the ribbon, with a bow, finished it off – and covered the base of the trees – and that flowers wouldn’t have been appropriate on this Halloween card.

Bat with Mummy

Our oldest grandson will be 14 on Halloween, and I didn’t know what sort of Halloween card to make for him – or even if he would want one at all.  However I think he will like this image, which is Bat Mummy from Bugaboo stamps.  I followed the theme for the Catch the Bug Challenge – with one paper, one word sentiment and one embellishment – and it made for a very quick and easy card.  The paper is from Whimsy Halloween papers and I distressed the edges with orange ink.  I fussy cut around the image, coloured it with Promarkers and coloured the edge with a bright orange Promarker.  The sentiment was computer generated with Curlz font, fussy cut out and embossed with black embossing powder and the spider’s web die cut was embossed in the same way.
