Merry Christmas everyone – I hope you all have a wonderful day.

I won the template for this sleigh a few years ago and made it then.  This year I thought I would make it again and I bought some chocolate money to put in it.  However last weekend some friends came round for a drink and brought us these fantastic chocolates – which I realised were just what I needed for my little sleigh.  Actually I’m surprised they lasted till now as they are absolutely delicious – and I’m not a choc addict – usually I’d rather have a savoury snack.

The first time I made this sleigh I used thick card and glued the DP onto the shape, but this time I printed the DP out on thinner card and then printed the sleigh shape onto the other side.  It wasn’t till I tried to put the chocolates in that I realised it needed the thicker card for support.  I made a small box to fit inside the base, and fashioned bits for the front and back ends, which I stuck to the sides inside.  The snow at the base of the sleigh is Allene’s Glitter Snow, which is also on the white edges – but just scraped on sparingly.  The runners and the fir branch are embossed with silver embossing powder and the sentiment is from LOTV – also embossed with silver.  The silver twine, red gems and tiny bells are all from my stash.
