Window Card

It must be about a year since I first decided to make a card with a window die.  I eventually got the die but then I struggled to get a brick embossing folder – for various reasons – out of stock, we don’t ship to France etc.  The makings of a card have been sitting in my craft room for months, but on Saturday I decided I really had to do something with them, and this is how it came together.

The window die is from Marianne Designs, but I’m afraid can’t remember who makes the brick embossing folder.  After I embossed the brick background I distressed it with grey and brown ink.  I stamped a Christmas tree, embossed it with gold embossing powder and rubbed a Tim Holtz mustard seed Distress Pen over it.  I stuck this behind the window and placed that on the brick card.  The foliage is from Jeanine’s Frosty Ornaments collection and is embossed with gold embossing powder.  The stamped sentiment is also embossed with gold embossing powder and the punched snowflakes are glittered with Glamour Dust.

I would like to enter my card into these challenges –
