Wryn Floating Along

We’ve had a respite from our very high temps for a couple of days – and it’s been so nice to be able to sleep at night.  But we’re edging up into the high temps again – with no rain forecast in the near future.

This image – Wryn Floating Along – from Tiddly Inks – takes me back to floating in a big tyre in the south of France.  I was never very sure what was under my feet – so it suited me just fine not to have to wade into the sea!!

I coloured the image with Promarkers and Copics and paper pieced Wryn’s hat and            swimsuit with a gingham paper.  It’s not a technique I’ve used before, but I like the effect so will do it more often. The papers, ribbon, gems and shells are from my stash and the netting originally contained some onions.  I used a glue pen and some Glamour Dust along the lines of the waves, but the glitter isn’t showing up well in the photo.  I embossed the       seaweed with a Spellbinders folder, distressed it with 2 green ink pads and dotted liquid pearls in blue and green on it.  The sentiment is from LOTV.
